<description>Cosmotron is a display typeface inspired by maps of the heavens. Each glyph was carefully constructed from neutrons, quasars, and supernovas.

This dimensional letterform was based on Christina Hardison's "Fatty Acid" and was constructed in space by placing a transparency printed with the digital letterform over my laptop screen. By turning on the iSight camera, I could position balloons in space to replicate the digital letter. The letter is only discernible from the position of the iSight camera and appears to be a random assortment of balloons from any other vantage point. Super cool!

This lettering was cut out of acrylic and then mounted to a base to be printed on a Vandercook letterpress. The piece was published in the 2011 North Carolina State University Literary and Arts publication Windhover.
